Under the successful and proven cooperative business model, because we’re locally owned by the members we serve, Callaway Electric is governed by an elected board of directors who are also member-owners of the cooperative. As a member, you select these directors and know them as your friends and neighbors. You can be on a first-name basis with your cooperative’s CEO, staff and directors because they are part of our communities.
Callaway Electric Cooperative’s board members are elected to represent our 13,000 members’ interests when it comes to setting policies or making decisions on issues that impact the co-op and our members. Their input and guidance are essential as the co-op keeps the lights on today and works to anticipate and meet our members’ long-term future energy needs.
