Traditional Billing

Electric bill

Overview

The traditional billing rate is available to all classes of single phase service requiring 50 KVA or less. It is billed on a monthly cycle, with all bills due and payable by the first of each month.

Several options are available for receiving your electric bill. You can be mailed a paper copy, view it online via personal computer, smartphone or tablet device with our SmartHub billing app.

Paper bills are mailed on or about the first of each month. All bills are due and payable at that time. Pay by the 15th or first business day after if the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday to avoid a 5% penalty. Service is subject to disconnection five days after the penalty is applied. A $60 reconnect fee will be charged for any reconnection during office hours. Reconnections will be made only after the bill, plus the reconnect fee, has been paid in full by cash, credit card or money order. Failure to receive your bill does not avoid penalty or disconnection.

Bills are also available online and on the SmartHub app on or about the first of every month. Traditional Rate

Deposit for service

Each member who opens an account with the cooperative is required to pay a $5 membership fee. After that, a security deposit for traditional electric service is required. The amount of the deposit will be based on the member's credit rating as follows:

A zero or slight credit risk  $45
Intermediate credit risk $245
Severe credit risk $495


Service availability charge

$44/month (Single Phase - 200 Amp Service)

$53/month (Single Phase - 320/400 Amp Service)

$63/month (Three Phase - 320/400 Amp Service)

All locations share the cost of providing the basic service to a meter. Service availability includes the cost incurred to keep the office open and accessible to the membership, as well as a portion of line maintenance, outage restoration, tree trimming, taxes, insurance, depreciation, etc. It does not include energy.

0-1,000 kWh 15.66 cents/kWh  
1,001-2,000 kWh 9.63 cents/kWh   
All over 2,000 kWh 9.03 cents/kWh

Surge Protection Collar $5.95/month
Generator Transfer Switch $6/month
Surge Protection/Generator Transfer Combo $8/month
