What is a substation?
When there is an outage, you will often see or hear that certain substations are affected. But what exactly is a substation?
A distribution substation is a voltage regulation point that delivers electric energy from transmission systems to residential and industrial consumers.
In other words, substations are a point in which your electricity flows through to reach your home or business.
It is important to be safe around substations and not enter or play around them.
