July 12, 2023 Storm Repair
As the storm moved through the Callaway Electric service area earlier this evening, several reports of outages were received. Crews were dispatched immediately to start assessing damage and repair lines as safely and quickly as possible. While driving through the county several trees can be seen down in various locations. Reports of poles and wires down have also been received from several members. We appreciate your patience as our line crews work through the clean up and repair process.
Please use extra caution around trees and debris as hidden dangers such as downed line and/or equipment can be within these areas. Never attempt to drive over, touch or go near downed power lines. Stay away and report them to Callaway Electric at 573-642-3326 or thru the Smarthub billing app.

UPDATE: July 13 AM
We realize some members are waking up to no power still this morning. Our crews have been working through the night and additional crews are here working from Sellenriek Construction, Inc. Another Sell Con crew is on the way this morning. We are thankful for their assistance as work continues on repair from last night’s storm. There have been several downed lines and broken poles across the system.
We have made progress from a high of more than 1700 members to now around 300 without power. Work will continue until all power is restored.
Please stay safe and do not go near any downed power lines. Report any down lines or poles to our office using the SmartHub mobile app or by calling the office at 573-642-3326.
